After this historic election, I’m feeling a unique mix of emotions— disappointment, fear, determination, and uncertainty. And, I know that that many others are as well. This week on the Live with THRIVE podcast, we’re unpacking these feelings in our episode titled “Feelings, Fears, and the Future: A Post-Election Reflection.” I’m joined by Dr. Christina Grant, who will bring powerful insight to this critical conversation. Together, we will explore what it means to process these results as Black women, mothers, and professionals navigating a world that so often challenges our resilience. We dive into how our feelings and fears are shaping our way forward and the strength we’re finding in community. ?? Join us in this space for reflection, healing, and empowerment. Listen in, share with your circle, and let’s continue moving forward together with courage.

As each season changes, so do we. This November, as the leaves turn and fall, let’s reflect on the beauty of letting go – especially in the ever-evolving journey of motherhood, or matrescence. Each phase, with its growth, challenges, and transformations, invites us to release what no longer serves us, making space for new possibilities. Just like leaves fall—or are pushed—off trees so the tree can survive the winter and grow new leaves in the spring, motherhood has its own seasons: moments of vibrant growth, quiet reflection, and times when we’re called to let go of expectations, self-doubt, or perfection. ?? These moments remind us that surrendering can be an act of strength, freeing us to embrace our path with grace and gratitude. As we settle into November, let’s honor each season for the gifts it brings and the things it asks us to release. Share in the comments: What are you letting go of in this season? #lettinggo #matrescence #motherhood #seasonschange

Hi there! I want to give a warm welcome to all the new followers! I’m Dr. Alison Harris Welcher and I use my gifts and talents to empower Black and Brown women to navigate the challenges of womanhood, motherhood, and career through self-discovery and work-life balance. In January 2020, I welcomed my first son, and what was a joyful time also turned into a whirlwind of challenges as my husband and I juggled new parenthood and remote work during the pandemic with a newborn at home. While I sought out therapy during that time, I also desired professional coaching from someone who could really understand all the elements of my identity - Black woman, new mother, senior leader. This journey inspired me to create THRIVE Life Coaching, where I help women reclaim their power and thrive in all aspects of life. I also host the podcast "Live with THRIVE," dedicated to empowering Black and Brown women navigating these complexities. In each episode, we dive into uplifting conversations with trailblazing women who share their transformative journeys and powerful strategies for thriving in every area of life. If you’re juggling a demanding career, family responsibilities, or aiming for personal growth, this podcast is for you! You can watch all episodes here on LinkedIn or on my YouTube page (link in bio). Feel free to connect on all social media platforms, explore my posts, and reach out if you’re ready to transform together!
