As we gather around the table this #Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to reflect on the warmth and strength of our community. This season reminds us to appreciate not just our loved ones, but also the neighbors, friends, and local heroes who work to enrich our lives every day. Let’s celebrate the bonds that tie us together, the shared experiences, and the support we offer one another. Whether it’s volunteering, shopping local, or simply reaching out to say thank you, there are countless ways to uplift your community. Together, we can create an environment where everyone thrives. So this Thanksgiving, let’s give thanks for our community and make a promise to nurture it, not just today, but all year round. Happy Thanksgiving! #TogetherWeThrive #Thanksgiving2025

关于我们
Thrive is a 501(c)3 corporation that provides a new model of rural revitalization that works to harness the strengths of local residents in building healthier, more vibrant communities. Thrive is many things. It is a convener. It is a local public policy leader. It is a goal-setter. It is a prodder, or a cheerleader, or a critic—all depending on the need. And it is an advocate for people who cannot or do not advocate for themselves. Thrive works to improve the quality of life in Allen County by focusing on health, wellness, recreation and education conditions, and by engaging people and institutions around a common vision for the future. This means working to increase access to healthcare, connecting people to programs and services, encouraging residents to live healthier, more active lives, and providing leadership on important public issues. Improving quality of life is essential to the survival of small towns. People want to live in communities with healthy, well-educated residents. Businesses want to locate in communities with a robust, adaptable workforce. And young people are more receptive to moving to communities with great schools, parks and trails, and the feeling that the community has a bright future. Thrive believes that Allen County can be the healthiest community in Kansas, and that our county’s best days are ahead of us. We hope you’ll join us in the fight for Allen County’s future.

#NationalRuralHealthDay is a vital observance that highlights the unique healthcare challenges and needs faced by our rural communities. Celebrated annually on the third Thursday of November, this day aims to raise awareness about the importance of rural health and the dedicated professionals working tirelessly to provide care in these areas. Initiatives like our Kansas CARES program play a pivotal role in addressing the health disparities faced by rural residents. By promoting access to essential services, supporting healthcare providers, and fostering community engagement, we help to ensure that everyone has access to the quality healthcare that they deserve. Let’s celebrate the resilience of rural communities like ours and the ongoing efforts to improve health outcomes across the state. Together, we can work towards a healthier future for all, no matter where you call home. Learn more about our work: www.thriveallencounty.org www.kansascares.org

Back in October, we met with our state-wide team of Care Coordinators with our Kansas CARES program, connecting Kansans with critical services free of charge, for an in-person training in #WichitaKansas. These trainings are an opportunity for the entire team to connect with one another, and regroup as a team. Special thank you to St. Louis Community Health Workers Coalition for visiting us in Wichita and speaking with the team! Your words of support and empowerment help us carry on this critical work. (For more information about the program, visit www.KansasCares.org) #TogetherWeThrive
