Each year, the National Runaway Safeline, in partnership with Cubs Charities, brings Thanksgiving cheer to youth experiencing homelessness in the Chicago area. Last week, they delivered delicious holiday meals from The Smoke Daddy, along with hygiene kits and personal notes of support to Thresholds' youth programs. On Friday, Thresholds hosted Lindsey Lapointe, Illinois State Representative and Chair of the Mental Health and Addiction Committee, and Laura Fine, State Senator and Chair of the Behavioral and Mental Health Committee. We met at the Thresholds Center for Mental Wellbeing — Ravenswood, home to one of our 4 Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. We’re excited about this new model of service delivery/coordination and payment reform, and grateful for the state and federal investment in all things behavioral health.
