We move faster when we move together. Overdrive Energy Solutions pointed out some of the big 'wins' from our clean energy activations at music festivals last year - see post below. It takes teamwork, time, and resources to build systems that can either run fully on battery power, or a combo of battery + solar, or a combo of battery + renewable diesel....but, the good news is that these solutions work! They are tried and tested in some of the toughest outdoor environments. Seeing these same systems power emergency command centers in LA this month is a testament to the music industry's ability to be a testing ground for innovation and ultimately serve the greater good. It has been an amazing experience working with AEG Presents and Goldenvoice on pushing the limits of what #sustainability in the #events and #livemusic sector can accomplish!
It’s completely understandable—our partners at?AEG Presents?and?Goldenvoice?focus on meaningful sustainability actions rather than promotion. As a result, it’s not widely known that their events achieved incredible milestones in the 2024 season. While we wouldn’t expect the fantastic team at?A Greener Future ?to know all the details, we’d like to highlight that with?Overdrive Energy Solutions?powering major stages and significant portions of?#Portola,?#CampFlogGnaw, and?#HarvestMoon, these festivals have likely earned their spot among the greenest events of the year. With 3 major festival stages powered by Overdrive Energy Solutions since September, they've been leading the industry in North America. Here’s a snapshot of the impact: ???Nearly 100 metric tons of CO2 avoided ???Over 11,000 gallons of diesel fuel saved ????99%+ reduction in CO and particulate emissions from diesel engines ???The largest “fossil fuel-free” zones, with sponsor areas, food & beverage operations, and stages powered by Overdrive’s innovative hardware and software This success wouldn’t have been possible without the outstanding contributions of: ? Meghan Tierney, Erik Distler, Kadamia Hubbard and the AEG Sustainability Team?for their leadership and vision ??Jaime Nack & Three Squares Inc. Squares?for their creative solutions and guidance ??r.World | Reuse?for reducing single-use plastics with reusable cup programs ? Dre Hanna & the rest of the AMAZING production team at Goldenvoice We’re grateful for those spreading awareness about?#sustainableenergy?and look forward to contributing even more in the future. With our new software platform in development, we aim to make sustainability?transparent,?accessible, and?actionable—helping all of us learn, share, and improve together. Let’s keep building a greener future! ???? #Sustainability #GreenEvents #EventTech #EnergyInnovation #NetZero #RenewableEnergy #OverdriveEnergySolutions #PortolaFestival #CampFlogGnaw #HarvestMoonFestival https://lnkd.in/gsgbwemy

Thank you to Overdrive Energy Solutions for being a fantastic partner for bringing solar and battery tech (and hybrid!) solutions for our sustainable event and festival work! The team always focuses on finding solutions to bring power to remote or mobile locations and has been a key source of clean energy power for our LA #wildfire relief centers and command centers. We appreciate you!

Our hearts go out to all those affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. As a team based here in Santa Monica, we are devastated to witness the impact of this crisis on our neighbors and friends. Our thoughts are with the brave first responders, the families displaced, and the communities facing an uncertain future. In this difficult time, we are also reminded of the urgent need to confront the climate crisis and its increasing threats to our environment and way of life. As we face the many challenges ahead, it’s more important than ever that we join together and support one another. We wish our community safety and strength – and the hope that brighter days are to come. #WeLoveLA #LAStrong #Community

Our #climateweekny highlight was the #MusicIndustryClimateCollective (a.k.a. MICC) event featuring three powerhouse #ESG leaders from Sony Music Entertainment - Towalame Austin, Warner Music Group - Olga LaBelle, and Universal Music Group - Dylan Siegler! The event was hosted at Ethic's beautiful office space in Tribeca and brought together 90 sustainability professionals across the music industry with the shared goal of exploring how music can be a positive force for climate action. Three Squares Inc.'s Jaime Nack moderated the discussion with the three music majors which provided an update on MICC's #Scope3 methodology designed specifically to address the unique qualities of the music industry's value chain. The evening ended with inspiring exchanges of ideas and connections. The event was dubbed as the most 'fun' event of Climate Week NY by many and we will take that! Our resident DJ Marlon Regis brought the vibes, INDAY vegetarian bites were delicious, and the team at Ethic were amazing hosts. Three Squares Inc. and Agendi (shout out to Arnaud Brohe who attended) were thrilled to see the event take shape and the positive response from the music stakeholders. Big thanks to all who made the day so special! #climateaction #musicbiz #leadership #scope3 #ESGreporting #collaboration
