ESPN's The Man in the Red Bandana recounts the heroic acts of former college athlete Welles Crowther who saved at least a dozen people in the South tower.     Looking back at some of the work from our friends over at ThreePost and this by far is one of my favorites. I may be a -little- biased after spending 10+ years marketing semiconductors/LED lighting in some capacity, but this video does such a great job of showcasing product features and benefits in a compelling way. Speeds and feeds have their place, but it’s been a few years and I still remember this vid. Can’t say the same for….nearly any product video. Amazing work as always Andrea Taber Michael Fortson

    One of the most common questions we get from new clients.... “Where does all of your wit and charm come from?” Okay fine. It’s actually: “How much does it cost to make a video?” And while we would love to impress you with a precise equation outlining how x-seconds of video costs y-dollars, it's more nuanced than that. And besides, we’re not that good at math. When we get this question, we’ll typically respond by asking, “How much does it cost to build a house?” When it comes to building a house, the possibilities are seemingly endless. Do you want to build a townhouse? A single story ranch? A 10,00 square foot estate? All of these are houses, but each of them are of different scale and require a unique set of labor and materials to bring them to fruition. Videos are the same in that there are a whole host of variables to consider when scoping a new project. Just to quickly rattle off a few things we consider: How long will the video be? Is it 2D or 3D animation? A combination of mediums? Are we filming a live action piece? How big is the crew? Is there professional talent? How many? How will the video be used? Thankfully, we’ve built many videos over the years and during early conversations we can provide general price ranges for different mediums to give clients a budgetary ballpark. But we always refine these numbers once a final creative approach is determined to provide a precise scope of work . So, how much does it cost to make a video? Well, it depends. Fellow agencies - how do you answer this question? And for folks on the client side – is our house analogy structurally sound?

    When you find the yin to your yang, work doesn't really FEEL like work. Work really doesn't feel like work when your eyes are closed. And you're snoring. And maybe drooling a little bit. We're pretty sure it's all part of the creative process, though.

    Memorial Day: The beginning of summer. A day off work. Cookouts. Deals and steals at your favorite store. All of these things are true about Memorial Day. But as we head into the weekend, we also want to keep in mind what Memorial Day is REALLY about -- Remembering and honoring our fallen soldiers. A few years ago, we visited Arlington National Cemetery while in D.C for work. Arlington is solemnly beautiful and a reminder of the sacrifice so many have made for us and for our country. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and takes a few moments to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. ???? ???? ????

    When we make videos, we're typically taking complicated topics and distilling them down into a concise piece. In the early stages of content writing it's pretty common to hear someone around here say, "Okay, explain it to me like I'm 5." That's why when we partnered with a virtual K-12 education company to create educational lessons, we were totally up for the challenge of explaining how?the stock market works to kids in a way that made it feel fun and approachable. Who else could have used this video when they were trying to understand the stock market?!?Or like...anything math related.
