What an awesome time moderating a panel on #AI and the future of #creative #marketing careers, featuring SY(Ashley) Chung, DBA, Gabe Mays, and Rosemary Ajuka-LeCroy at Bob Cargill #MarketingRoadshow. It was inspiring to hear their insights on how we can position ourselves in the new AI-driven world and succeed: AI is growing exponentially, we know. But we, as marketers, bring a human element that consumers want - no one wants to talk to a bot or consume obviously bot-generated content. As Rosemary noted, fear has never helped us move forward; we need to learn what we can about AI and how to use it. We are all beginners right now, which means that if you become an expert, you have an advantage. Learn, grow, specialize, as Gabe noted, and balance caution with curiosity, notes Ashley. Earlier this week, I was just another introvert dragging my feet to a big event with a community that I don't know very well yet. I didn't know if I would know anyone there, but actually not surprisingly, the room was *full* of my "fairy godsisters" who have been so generous with their time and networks as I built up ChopValue Boston in the last two years. I had an amazing time speaking at the ACE NextGen annual conference alongside John Victoria and Adeel Afshar . When I speak, I often share my struggles and failures because those are the real stories that can inspire others to keep pushing and never give up. Success isn’t easy for anyone—certainly not for me. The key trait of a successful entrepreneur is resilience. Keep at it ????

Day 2 of the ACE NextGen conference in NYC ended this past Friday with a full day of workshops, panels, and discussions focused on Asian American small businesses and entrepreneurship. From learning how to scale on a budget to building strong brands, it was an inspiring day led by industry experts. A huge thank you to the Tory Burch Foundation educational grant for making my attendance possible! If you’re a woman-owned small business, applications are open for the 2025 fellowship cohort. It’s been a privilege to participate in this fellowship and continue growing through it. Big congratulations to my friends and fellow therapists Linda Yoon, LCSW and Soo Jin Lee for being honored at the Pathfinder Awards for their outstanding work in Asian American mental health with Yellow Chair Collective.
