ONE MILLION STEPS ?? Our Chief Development Officer, John Ford, is raising awareness and funds for Breakthrough T1D in support of his son Carson and Team Carson for a Cure. Way to go, John! ??
Friends & Colleagues - As many of you know, each year I challenge myself physically to raise awareness + funds for Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF). There are approximately 1.4M Americans and 9M people around the World living with Type 1 Diabetes. Our son, Carson, was diagnosed with T1D in 2016 at the age of just 13 months. Now age 9, Carson continues to persevere through the daily challenges of regulating his blood sugar, finger pricks, insulin pumps, sensors, & more. Since 2016, due to your generosity, Team Carson for a Cure has raised approximately $125,000! This year, to continue the mission, I will be walking / running a total of ONE MILLION STEPS (500 miles) in the 50 days leading up to Walk Day October 19, 2024 at Greenfield Park.
