National Grid is offering the Electric Worker Scholarship to assist students pursuing education at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC). This scholarship program is designed to help students enrolled in the following programs: Electrical Construction Maintenance A.O.S. Degree Overhead Electric Line Worker Certificate To be eligible for the National Grid Electric Worker Scholarship, applicants must: Be a current high school senior, hold a high school diploma, or have a GED/HSE. Plan to enroll part-time or full-time at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) for the upcoming academic year in one of the eligible programs mentioned above. Meet the income eligibility requirements, which are based on the New York State TAP award: $125,000 or less Net Taxable Income (NTI) for dependent undergraduate students. $60,000 or less NTI for independent undergraduate students (married, without tax dependents). $30,000 or less NTI for independent undergraduate students (single, without tax dependents). Meet the academic entrance requirements for HVCC, which include: Algebra (1 unit of academic math with a grade of 70 or above). A high school overall average of 70 or above. How to Apply: The application window opens on January 30, 2025, and closes on April 15, 2025, at 3:00 PM Central Time.
