The bridge always wins. Terrifying video. Do you think the driver was an experienced driving a dump with 7 axles? The answer is yes. Complacency has injured and killed many people. Surprisingly, and luckily no one, including the driver was injured, but if this complacency and negligence had, the drivers life would be ruined, along with those hurt or killed. It’s critical that every time you get in and out of a commercial vehicle you do a quick safety check so things like this are prevented. Some drivers might make it for decades without a problem, but it only takes one incident like this and it’s not worth it. This bridge strike recently occurred on Highway 66 in Virginia.
