We really enjoyed the Mayoral Panel held by the Columbus REALTORS? last week! This panel discussion was moderated by Arianny Damian RMS, CMS with Thompson Restoration Associates, and included Mayor Richard Stage (Grove City), Mayor Laurie Jadwin (Gahanna), Mayor Chris Amorose Groomes (Dublin), Council President Emily Keeler (Grandview Heights), and Director of Regional Partnerships Mike Shadek. The panel provided an in-depth look at the future of Central Ohio, touching on key topics that shape our region's growth and quality of life. Here are some of the highlights: Dublin continues to shine with the highest life expectancy in Central Ohio, as noted in a recent report by the Centers for Disease Control. It's a testament to the city's dedication to fostering a healthy and vibrant community. Gahanna (43230) has done it again! For the second year in a row, Realtor.com ranked it the No. 1 Hottest Zip Code in America, showcasing its growing appeal to residents and investors alike. Columbus remains the 14th largest U.S. city and is projected to welcome 1 million more residents in the next 20-25 years. This anticipated growth highlights the need for thoughtful planning and investment in infrastructure and services. A key focus of the panel was Issue 47, a multi-billion-dollar investment in transportation aimed at transforming the city's connectivity and supporting its rapid expansion. The panel also addressed pressing social issues, including homelessness, and shared plans for bringing in more businesses and driving development to ensure Central Ohio continues to thrive. We're excited to see how these initiatives shape the future of our community!

The Alum Creek fire from earlier this week was a powerful example of why it’s important to keep aware of drought conditions and burn bans in your area. When a fire has all the right conditions to continue burning, it can be extremely dangerous and difficult to extinguish. With fire safety month just around the corner- this is an important reminder. Columbus (Ohio) Division of Fire did an incredible job securing, extinguishing, and keeping our community up to date on the conditions of this fire! Great job to all involved!
