Metal Stamping We work closely with you to properly plan, design, and execute metal stamping projects. Large, small, simple, or complex, our manufacturing process is adaptable, efficient, and accurate. Our well-equipped in-house tooling department provides quality tooling built to meet your specifications. Whatever your needs, our efficient production techniques can provide the most cost-effective means of production for metal stampings and assemblies using various materials, including HRS, CRS, galvanized, galvanneal, aluminum, and stainless steel, as well as multiple gauges and sizes. Because of our numerous 80 to 220-ton production presses, which are operated by highly skilled team members, constantly produce quality parts, Thompson Manufacturing is ready to service all your short- and long- run production needs.

Tool Room We have the capability to design products that few can duplicate. Our state-of-the-art equipment facilitates the design and building of production tooling, and our wire EDMs and HAAS CNCs are high-tolerance machines that produce close-tolerance machining. In-house heat treatment and grinding ensures a quick turnaround, as well as quick service on existing tooling.

Last, but not least, in our team introductions is Darren Johnson! Darren was recently hired as Thompson Manufacturing’s new Plant Manager. Prior to joining Thompson Darren worked at Water Gremlin in White Bear Lake for 30 years as Tool Room Manager, Assistant Plant manager, and Production and Facilities Sr. Mgr. He is Lean 6 Sigma Green belt certified and is currently working on his yellow belt. Darren’s hobbies include working out, going to airshows and traveling.

The next person on our team we'd like to introduce you to is Scott Kaiser! Scott has been with Thompson Manufacturing for 10 years. Scott previously worked in distribution and customer service for 19 years. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and from Anoka Community College with a Associate in Science Degree Business. Outside of work he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

The next person on our team we'd like to introduce you to is Scott Kaiser! Scott has been with Thompson Manufacturing for 10 years. Another valuable member of our team is Cathy Drilling! Cathy has been a member of Thompson Manufacturing since 2002. Cathy is the one who ensures our office runs seamlessly. Her expertise in organizing office operations and resources boosts our organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Not only does she handle accounting, HR, and customer service responsibilities, but she also excels in these areas. Outside of work, Cathy indulges her creative side with arts and crafts and cherishes time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Next up in introducing you to our team we have Marc Peters! Marc has recently moved to a sales and customer service position at Thompson. Marc was the Plant Manager of Thompson Manufacturing for 17 years and worked in design and metalworking for 27 years. He graduated from Normandale with an AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technologies and an AAS in Machine Tool and Die from Dakota County Community College. Marc’s recreation includes motorcycle riding and Drag racing.
