??? Exciting Progress at the Mary Beth Nienhaus Activity Center! ??? We’re getting closer to welcoming the community into our new space at 3000 E. College Ave., and the latest construction updates from Miron Construction Co., Inc. have us more excited than ever! Recent progress includes: ?? HVAC rooftop units installed ?? Drywall hanging complete and ready for finishing ?? Fire suppression piping and drops in place ?? Solatube skylights bringing in natural light ?? Roof patches completed for long-term durability Coming up, we’ll see more paint on the walls and ceilings, flooring installation, and key design elements like the fireplace veneer and gym divider curtain taking shape. Every step brings us closer to opening a space where our community can connect, learn, and thrive. We had a fantastic time at this month's "Hootenanny" from our Civic League! Participants enjoyed a delicious luncheon, great company, and an incredible performance by The Sunshine Singers. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of foot-tapping fun! A special thank you to Meadowbrook of Appleton, Oak Park Place, and The TCoL Civic League for their generous support in making this event possible. ??? Building the Future: Mary Beth Nienhaus Activity Center Construction Update! ??? We’re one step closer to opening the doors at 3000 E. College Ave., and the progress is truly exciting! Thanks to Miron Construction Co., Inc., key developments over the past few weeks include: ?? Window openings in place ?? Metal stud framing complete ?? Electrical and plumbing rough-ins underway ?? Drywall installation progressing ?? Fire protection and ductwork taking shape In the coming weeks, ceiling fans, HVAC rooftop equipment, and fresh paint will start to transform the space even more. A Memorable Day in Milwaukee! ?? Today, our participants enjoyed a fantastic bus trip filled with great sights, delicious food, and fun experiences! ?????? We explored the beautiful Mitchell Park Domes, where the guided tour and train show made for a perfect start to the day. Lunch at MOTOR Restaurant was a treat, with plenty of good food and great company. The trip wrapped up with a guided tour of Sprecher Brewing Company, where we learned about the brewing process and sampled some refreshing drinks. Thank you to everyone who joined us! College Ave. is taking shape, and we’re thrilled to share the latest progress from Miron Construction! Recent milestones include: ?? Demolition completed ?? Underground plumbing and electrical installed ?? Structural steel framework in place ?? Drywall installation underway ?? HVAC and electrical work progressing As we move forward, upcoming work includes ductwork, ceiling and wall painting, and finishing touches that will bring this space to life. This project reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming, engaging space for older adults and the entire community. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to opening our doors!
