?? Happy World Hearing Day!?? This year’s theme, 'Changing Mindsets', is a powerful reminder that how we view and treat hearing loss today will shape how we hear tomorrow. ?? At last year’s Future of Hearing Healthcare conference, Dave, Andrew, Gael and Shari discussed the importance of changing societal attitudes towards hearing loss. They highlighted how society’s depictions of hearing loss often perpetuate stigma, while emphasizing the need for real stories of people living well with hearing loss. As Shari put it: “We need to change the messages we tell ourselves and start living our lives out loud to show that these stigmas are false.” Hearing loss is not something to hide—it's part of life, and it’s time we normalize it. ?? Let’s continue to change the conversation around hearing loss, show the world how hearing healthcare empowers people to succeed, and share stories of those who are thriving with hearing aids and devices. Together, we can break down the stigma and help others take the steps towards better hearing health.
