The team at "The HUB" Third Avenue Business Improvement District has a lot to be grateful for and proud of in 2024! For more than 30 years, this resilient district has continued to thrive with the support of its stakeholders and partners. This year was an important transition year and we are happy to share our accomplishments: - Onboarding of our new Executive Director, Pedro S. - Onboarding three new board directors and maintaining strong board engagement - The launch of our new website and branding with support from The Bronx Economic Development Corporation - Collecting an estimated 4.5 million pounds of trash - Securing over $175K in funding with support from NYC Department of Small Business Services and other funders - Deepening district marketing, which included the return of annual holiday lighting, launch of a small business video series, monthly newsletters, and increased social media presence - 10+ community events including plaza activations, health fairs, real estate networking events, Back to School, Thanksgiving turkey giveaways, and Winter Wonderland. - Advocating for increased public safety and quality of life through partnerships with New York City Police Department, Bronx County District Attorney Office, 40th Precinct Community Council, NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY), NYC Department of Homeless Services, NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP), NYC Office of the Mayor and other agencies. We look forward to 2025!

Our commercial district "The HUB" sees over 200,000 visitors per day and is ideally located along 8 bus routes and 2 subway lines, within walking distance of major institutions such as NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln Hospital, The Hip Hop Museum, Opera House Hotel - Bronx, Metropolitan College of New York, and CUNY Hostos Community College.
