Happy ?As Young As You Feel〞Day! Me: “I’m as young as I feel!” Also me: Starts a 6-mile Arizona canyon hike feeling like an intrepid explorer… halfway through, I’m scanning the horizon for a Starbucks like it’s an oasis in the desert. ?????? Physically? I can do this. Stamina? ? Strength? ? Determination? ? But let’s be honest—if there were a trailside café with Venti Royal English Breakfast tea and a comfy chair, I’d be “reconnecting with nature” from there with the latest mystery novel. ?? 6 miles? No problem. 6 miles without a Starbies break? Now that’s a real challenge. #AsYoungAsYouFeelDay #ArizonaHikingAdventures #WillHikeForStarbucks #StarbucksLove

Just Published ? Navigating Change: Building Alignment & Acceptance in Your Organization One of the toughest decisions I had to make as a leader was eliminating a department program that people were deeply invested in. Change like this isn’t just about strategy—it’s about people. The way we communicate it determines whether teams embrace it or resist it. Here’s what I learned: ???? Legitimize concerns—People need space to process the loss. ???? Build alignment—Create transparency & foster buy-in at every level. ???? Shift mindsets—Turn uncertainty into opportunity for growth. Change doesn’t have to be disruptive—it can be a catalyst for innovation when handled with intention and empathy. I share more insights in my latest Forbes article—read it here: https://lnkd.in/eUvkyYjY How have you successfully led change in your organization? Resilience Isn’t About Bouncing Back—It’s About Bouncing Forward Let’s be real—setbacks happen. Maybe it’s a project gone sideways, a bad hire, or an idea that should have worked (but didn’t). It stings, but here’s the thing: Every great leader has been there. The difference? Resilient leaders don’t just survive tough moments; they learn from them. One of the biggest takeaways from my work with the Forbes Coaches Council is this: Failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s part of it. Next time you hit a roadblock, try asking yourself: ? What’s this challenge teaching me? ? What can I do differently next time? ? If I knew this would make me stronger, how would I handle it? Every setback is a setup for growth. How have you built resilience in your career? #Leadership #Resilience #LessonsLearned

Navigating Change with a Clear Head: Turn Uncertainty Into Opportunity It’s no secret — change is everywhere. Whether it’s layoffs, corporate restructuring, new policies, or shifting goals, it can feel like the world is spinning out of control. And when that fear and uncertainty take over, it’s easy to get caught in the whirlwind. But what if we could flip the script and navigate these changes with a clear head and a sense of curiosity instead? Here’s how to approach change with a fresh perspective: 1. Take a Step Back and Gather the Facts ? It’s easy to get swept up in the emotions of change. Instead of jumping to conclusions, take a moment to gather the facts. What’s actually happening? What is known? Separating the facts from the unknowns helps you move past initial fears and into a place of clarity. 2. Understand Why the Change is Happening ? Every change comes with a reason. Take the time to understand the “why” behind it. Is it a response to market shifts? Is the company setting new goals for growth? Knowing the purpose of the change helps you see it in a more positive light, instead of feeling blindsided. 3. Separate the “What If’s” from What’s Really Going On ? The “what if’s” can be a trap. What if we fail? What if we’re next? These types of questions only fuel anxiety. Focus on the facts at hand, and separate your real situation from hypothetical scenarios. This helps clear up the fog and allows you to think more clearly about the next steps. 4. Look for the Opportunities Within the Change ? Change isn’t just about the challenges — it’s also about the opportunities it brings. Whether it’s a chance to innovate, take on new responsibilities, or discover new ways of working, there’s always room to grow. Shift your mindset to look for the hidden opportunities, and you might just discover new paths forward that you hadn’t considered. At the end of the day, how we respond to change is what makes all the difference. Sound interesting? Stay tuned for updates next week on a related new workshop offering from Statice!

As we wrap up Right Thing, Right Now by Ryan Holiday, one big question lingers: What if we truly applied the four Stoic virtues in our businesses? ?? Courage – Taking bold action even in uncertainty. ?? Temperance – Maintaining balance and discipline in decisions. ?? Justice – Doing what’s right, not just what’s easy. ?? Wisdom – Making thoughtful, informed choices. These virtues aren’t just ancient philosophy—they’re a roadmap for stronger leadership, ethical decision-making, and long-term success. Imagine how different our businesses could be if we embodied these principles daily.
