We're proud to be based in Boston, where every street tells a story of courage and change. As we build our future here, we're inspired daily by our city's rich Black history and ongoing legacy of breaking barriers. One way to learn more about that legacy: The Black Heritage Trail - steps from our office - winds 1.6 miles through Beacon Hill, honoring hundreds of years and powerful stories of resilience and achievement. Sites include: The Robert Gould Shaw and Massachusetts 54th Regiment Memorial, commemorating one of the first African American regiments in the Civil War, the Phillips School, one of the first desegregated schools in the city, and the African Meeting House, the oldest Black church structure remaining in the U.S. The National Park Service offers guided tours in summer and fall, and a virtual tour all year. When walking the trail, stop at the Museum of African American History to discover New England’s largest museum of Black history from the colonial period to the 19th century.
