We are thrilled to see the ClemsonLIFE program covered in this CBS News story on students with intellectual disability joining the rush process and fraternities and sororities across campus. Yesterday, Think College & Institute for Community Inclusion Senior Research Fellow Russ Thelin, M.S., LVRC, CRC, CRL co-presented at the CSAVR conference in Seattle, Washington, on the importance and efficacy of collaborations between Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Agencies and Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) Programs. ?? Alongside Melinda Fruendt, the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation and Rachel Hoard, the Supported Employment Program Manager at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, these three experts really hit home the ways VR & IPSE programs can work together to increase competitive and meaningful career opportunities. What a perfect month to present this important information - #NDEAM. Here at Think College, have a variety of valuable resources on how VR can support college students with intellectual disability.
