We had a wonderful time earlier this month celebrating our incredible teaching artists at the Opening Reception for The Creative Capitol: The Art of Teaching Artistry exhibition at the Colorado State Capitol! ? The afternoon was filled with meaningful connections and inspiring performances. Teaching artists saw their work proudly displayed and connected with the Think 360 community. The event featured a beautiful musical performance led by teaching artist Andrea Asali and a moving poetry reading from teaching artist SETH Harris, who shared a poem co-written with students during a recent residency.? ? This joyful celebration honored our teaching artists — both for their impact in classrooms and communities across Colorado and for their dedication to their own artistic practices.? ? Thank you to Colorado Creative Industries for making this exhibition possible. Be sure to stop by the Capitol now through August 2025 to experience it for yourself! ? ? #think360arts SCFD

It is so affirming to have my work exhibited at the Capitol and specifically in the Lieutenant Governor's office. She was very grateful to have the art exhibited in her office and commented on how she responded to the lush color in my work. How wonderful to have this response to the arts from our state government. There are 18 Think360 artists exhibiting in various places at the Capitol. Thanks to Think360 and all the contributing organizations for making this celebration of teaching artists' artistry possible.

Think 360 Arts' relies on federal funding—directly and indirectly—for nearly half of our budget each year. With the new administration signaling potential drastic cuts to the U.S. Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts, and other federal programs we are facing a devastating lose of funds that would eliminate arts programming for thousands of Coloradans. We are not giving up. While we’re working tirelessly to secure alternative funding, we can’t do this alone. One of the most impactful ways to help is by setting up a monthly donation. Recurring gifts provide steady, reliable support, helping us plan ahead and sustain programs—especially during times of uncertainty. Whether it’s $10 or $100 a month, every dollar makes a difference. Every gift, every share, every advocate makes a difference. Will you join us? Click here to set up a monthly donation today: https://lnkd.in/giPkkHud #Think360Arts

Teaching artist David Ocelotl Garcia recently led a bilingual sculpture residency at DSST College View High School in partnership with art teacher Haley Nelson! Over five days, students explored form and texture, drawing inspiration from nature to create their own "vision cubes." They spent three days sculpting, cast their pieces in plaster using an alginate mold on day four, and unveiled their finished forms on day five, while taking time to reflect on their creative process. This week, under the guidance of their art teacher, students will get to add the finishing touches to their sculptures by adding paint to their art piece. A huge thank you to Denver SCFD for this supporting art experience!?
