Our #mentalhealth and #substanceuse manager is attending a conference this week and shared how she learned about the Yellow Tulip Project, a youth-driven mental health organization founded by Julia Hansen to break the stigma around mental illness and promote hope. After looking over the organizations website, I loved learning how this youth advocacy groups uses yellow tulips, as symbols of #resilience, to help foster conversations about mental health to help people feel less alone and change negative perceptions. Some of the key initiatives include: Hope Gardens: Communities plant yellow tulips as symbols of hope and recovery. Educational Programs: Youth-led workshops and awareness campaigns in schools. Youth Empowerment: Leadership opportunities to support mental health advocacy. The project has gained nationwide support, creating a stigma-free culture around mental health. Feel free to share this with your partners who work with youth and families! This event wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing partners: ?@chickadeeds, whose mission of creating family-friendly events connects people to meaningful causes in their community, brought everyone together with purpose. ? Backyard Blooms, a Maine-based flower farm cultivating beauty and connection, donated stunning perennials and crafted the garden design that inspired us all.
