Our Career Development program has been incredibly active this summer and fall, with several cohorts and generous donations and support from Keybank, Spectrum, and 100 Women Strong.
In August, KeyBank announced a $300K investment towards our Career Development Program, allowing us to add a much-needed case management dimension to the program, better supporting students’ transition from training to job placement and long-term employment stability.
Also in August, our friends at Spectrum presented our Career Development program with a $50K grant through Spectrum Community Assist to provide job training and make improvements to our facility. In addition to the grant, a number of Spectrum volunteers helped to make improvements to our Career Development classrooms, including painting, building desks and chairs, and landscaping, among other upgrades.
In September, 100 Women Strong Ohio also partnered with us through a $7,500 grant, presented at this year's Second Giving Event. Because of this generous gift to our Career Development program, we will be expanding to add our first cohort for women in manufacturing this fall!
We also recently received the Fueling Futures grant from Enbridge to support our Career Development program. These dollars will also aid in the expansion of our first manufacturing cohort!
A huge thank you to all four of these organizations for their generous gift to support removing barriers to job security in our community. These grants have given us the opportunity to improve and expand our current Career Development spaces, as well as to offer more than just customer service based cohorts.
