Mo, our Production Manager at Trafford Park, shares what Ramadan means to him, the traditions he follows, and how he balances work and fasting. Today's theme for National Apprenticeship Week is Celebration Friday! We’re proud to recognise our apprentices who have successfully passed their EPAs, as well as those nearing completion. This year, they’ve celebrated their progress at the Apprentice Recognition Event, gained valuable skills at the LKQ Sustainability Training Day, taken on a respray challenge working to restore a vehicle, and been nominated for the Apprentice and Mentor of the Year awards. Our apprentices attend the college for a week every eight weeks to develop their skills and gain essential knowledge. During this time, they focus on strengthening their knowledge through activities like welding and hands-on practice on non-live jobs. This Week is National Apprenticeship Week! ? This year’s theme is Skills for Life. In December, we welcomed 22 new apprentices to The Vella Group across our North and South regions. They will be completing their training and block assessments in partnership with Blackpool and The Fylde College. ? Since launching our apprenticeship programme, we have supported 87 apprentices, and this year marks our 7th cohort. It’s fantastic to see our apprentices develop their skills, and we look forward to supporting our newest cohort as they progress within The Vella Group! #NAW2025?

We’re excited to announce that The Vella Group has acquired First National Vehicles Ltd, trading as Central Accident Repairs in the West Midlands!? This acquisition becomes our 18th site and the first of 2025, building on our strong growth following an exciting year of expansion in 2024, which included the acquisition of four new sites and the opening of a purpose-built facility in Manchester East. The new Wednesbury location (near to Wolverhampton) strengthens our presence in the Midlands, connecting our existing sites in Stoke, Coventry, Daventry and Leominster.
