?? Exciting News from Theta Neurotech: Our Waitlist is Now Open! ?? At Theta, we are on a mission to provide predictability to the unpredictable nature of seizures. We envision a future where the 1 in 100 people globally living with epilepsy have consistent early alerts of seizure occurrence, allowing for the prevention of injuries and targeted deployment of preventative medication. Theta is developing a non-invasive, near-invisible device for the prediction and early alert of epileptic seizures. Our device, applied for long-term wear on the scalp, detects very small changes in brain states that occur in the pre-seizure period. This detection allows us to provide patients and their caretakers of an early alert of their seizures, providing enough time to prevent dangerous incidents and *potentially* deploy seizure rescue medications. Our founding team (Truman Pierson, CEO; Ali Hussain, CCO; Christopher Fitz, CTO) had a wonderful time at its first American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting in Orlando this past weekend! We had the opportunity to discuss our work with a number of KOLs in neurology, epileptology, and neurosurgery.
