Thank you for sharing our work! We are so glad that the recently launched CSV Shared Research Agenda is already making an impact on the field ??
Senior evaluation, research, & learning expert ending sexual and gender-based violence through solutions rooted in data, evidence, and lived experiences
I recently watched the recording of the launch of the Child Sexual Violence (CSV) research agenda, hosted collaboratively by Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI), Together for Girls, WeProtect Global Alliance, Brave Movement, and Safe Futures Hub. I'm deeply inspired by this initiative for two key reasons: First, the process they undertook stands as a model for inclusive agenda-building, consisting of practitioners, academics, and researchers. 3/4 of the participants were based in low and middle-income countries, and when a group was underrepresented they intentionally sought their input. I plan to use this process as a model for future work in collaborative learning agendas. Second, having a shared global research agenda is invaluable as I embark on my own evaluation work in CSV prevention. I'm currently working to assess the effectiveness of a school-based intervention designed to help children and adults recognize and respond to sexual grooming behaviors. This global agenda provides crucial context for identifying future research priorities and considering how findings from high-income contexts like the US might support the broader research agenda for low and middle-income countries. The collaborative approach to developing this agenda ensures that research priorities are informed by diverse perspectives and lived experiences—exactly what's needed to make meaningful progress in preventing child sexual violence worldwide. What do you think of the shared research agenda? #ViolencePrevention #EndChildSexualViolence #CSV #EndViolence #Learning

????????? ??????????????, ?????? ???????????? ???? ?????? ???????? ??????????????! ??? ??The manosphere is a sprawling online network of forums, influencers, and content that brings together ideas about men, power, gender roles and identity, often promoting misogyny and even driving real-world violence. But what do we actually know about it and how can we effectively challenge it? In the first episode of the fourth season of the #SVRIPodcast, Gary Barker, PhD, CEO of Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice shares his insights into the psychology and appeal of the manosphere. He explores its links to gender-based violence, and the urgent need for better research and intervention strategies. ?The good news is that even with the manosphere’s growing influence in shaping some young men’s worldviews, its impact can be reduced when, as Barker highlights, "there are thoughtful men who are willing to stand up."?? ??
