In 2022 alone, Michelle has been named to the National Law Journal’s list of Plaintiffs’ Attorneys Trailblazers and Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar, a SuperLawyers Rising Star, Top 50 Women, and Top 100 Lawyers in Texas, and has received a National Law Journal Top 100 Verdicts and Top 20 Verdicts in Texas for 2021. In addition to her work in the courtroom, Michelle is a regular legal commentator and frequent voice in the media, from CNN to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.

We are proud to represent a former Indiana University basketball player from the Bobby Knight era who today bravely stepped forward with sexual abuse allegations against former team physician Brad Bomba Sr. IU knew about Bomba’s predatory behavior for decades and chose to ignore it, prioritizing winning basketball games and protecting reputations over student safety. If IU is serious about protecting its students and upholding transparency, it must take immediate action to remove those who allowed this abuse to continue. I recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about the inequities in the NCAA’s NIL settlement and the objection we filed on behalf of a number of former Division I women athletes. As it stands, the settlement under-compensates women athletes, highlighting the systemic inequalities that dominate college sports.
