Therme Group US is proud to announce a newly formed joint venture with The Georgetown Company as?THERME GROUP shares their own funding announcement–?an agreement to unlock up to €245 million in growth investment with Sculptor Capital Management’s Real Estate Business. These announcements follow the €320 million funding package for the acquisition of Therme Erding arranged by Deutsche Bank and secured from Macquarie Group Capital—one of the largest single-asset financings in the wellness destination industry. The Georgetown Company, has acquired a 25% equity stake in Therme US and will become our exclusive development partner for all U.S. projects and a key financial participant globally. This joint venture accelerates our ability to deliver 10 projects, each of which encompass approx. 500,000 square feet, across the U.S. over the coming years. Our vision, combined with Georgetown’s proven expertise in development, execution, and financial structuring, ensures that we have both the capacity and backing to achieve scale rapidly. Earlier this month our COO Adam Bamba Tanaka, PhD took part in a panel at the WXO - World Experience Organization Summit in New York City entitled “Experience as Medicine,” alongside wellbeing innovators Jasmin Jodry, Ramy Elnagar, Barnaby Steel, Jennifer Crook, and Suchi Reddy. ? Connecting the dots between immersive technologies, neuroscience, and longstanding traditions of bathing and sauna, the panel explored the ways in which in-person, collective experiences can serve therapeutic purposes and drive verifiable health outcomes.? ? The conversation also spotlighted Forest Bathing: Lupuna, a new immersive experience at our sister facility Therme Euskirchen that was nominated as a finalist in the World Experience Awards.

Earlier this month our COO Adam Bamba Tanaka, PhD participated in a round table discussion about the role of the arts in community and economic development in Washington DC, hosted by the Anacostia BID and Americans for the Arts. Adam described the central role that both community and culture have played in informing Therme’s vision of wellbeing for all, as well as our ongoing public engagement in Ward 8 and throughout the District. Therme US congratulates the Anacostia BID and its partners on the formation of the Anacostia Arts & Culture District and Mayor Bowser for her recognition of the connection between the arts and equitable development by proclaiming May 14th as Arts and Economic Impact Day in the District.?
