A collaboration among The Ringling and Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's Community Specialty Clinic is educating future physicians in empathy, understanding, and communication skills. Third-year medical students engage in Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), honing their observational and interpretive skills through art. By exploring paintings, they enhance their ability to notice details, interpret nonverbal cues, and engage all five senses—key skills for patient care.
