    No matter what I tell sales reps about data enrichment - They only trust LinkedIn ????♀? When I was the Head of RevOps at Clari, we would use a few different data sources, but our reps believed the LinkedIn data over any other data source. Why? Because it was self-reported? Because it was more real time? Because they kept their own data up-to-date?     The words that you use make all the difference - ?? Fight me on this - ?? The tone and expression of how you say it ????♀? The body language that you use when you say it ??? The words that you choose to say it Make all the difference 100% Let me give you an example - My daughter is a picky eater And she's a small eater And she's very headstrong And she's very opinionated And she's a teenager ('nuff said IYKYK) ?? A recipe for headache when it comes to meals ?? I like to make these "bento box" style dinners for her So she gets a good variety of different things, but in small portions, that are "aesthetically pleasing", with the hope that she will actually eat it ????♀? The other night, one of the items I included was small treat - a mixture of some small candies and chocolates ?? ?? She clearly didn't want it ? So - How to communicate this? A few options - ???? Say "Thank you so much" and then just eat a few ???? Say nothing and just eat a few ???? Say "Oh, these look so good, but I'm not sure I'll have room for them, but I'll see" ???? Say "Oh, thank you for adding this, but I don't think I want these today" ???? Say "Ugh, ew, I don't want this" ???? Say nothing and leave them as is ???? Say nothing, grimace, and leave them as is ???? Say nothing, grimace, take them out, and throw them aside All basically have the same outcome (i.e. eat a few or eat none) But how you make the person feel on the other end is very, very different ?? ??? Communication is everything I'll let y'all guess which one she did.... ????♀? #leadership #communication

    ? What is the best way to celebrate a huge achievement? ?? Or celebrate a big launch? Well, my friends at Default sure know how to celebrate a launch! ?? This custom case of champagne is both celebratory and very cool! ?? Feels a little James Bond 007-ish, doesn't it? Or maybe it's not 007 But instead it's 2.0 ?? Big congratulations to Nico F., Stan Rymkiewicz, and the entire Default team on the launch of Default 2.0 ?? When I was introduced to Default, I understood the value of inbound workflows automating and optimizing lead qualification, routing, and enrichment. (We all know how misaligned, inefficient, and manual this ? can be) But with this new launch, I'm excited to dive in and see - ? the new website intent and tracking functionality ? the additional enrichment capabilities ? the AI routing agent power ? the new scheduling experience And more..     ??? Here is one thing that I learned very early in my career ... Which I share with others all the time ... When it comes to the work place It is important ? not ? to take things personally... Especially in Operations roles where we are often the unsung heroes - ?? To be "thick skinned" and let things "roll off your back" ?? To separate the problem from the emotion ?? To see the issue through the person (empathy is one of our superpowers!) ?? To be accountable and to do your best work, but not let it affect you in an unhealthy way ????♀? As I used to always tell my teams in the past - We are doing tough, challenging, and impactful work ???? But we are not trying to - ?? send people to the moon or ?? cure cancer or ?? solve world hunger... So always - ?? Try to keep perspective ?? Take care of yourself and your loved ones first ?? And then do your best work ?? Make an impact ?? Drive value ?? And grow your personal career and your personal skill set And remember that you can only do what you can do. And you can only control - Your own level of effort Your own attitude Your own actions ?? Be the best you can be ?? #inspiration #revops

You have probably heard me talking a lot about being "more strategic and less tactical" from a RevOps perspective But many are confused about what "being strategic" means Yes, being strategic might include developing and creating strategy But it is much more than that - ? You don't have to have a VP title to be strategic ? You don't have to own the GTM Strategy to be strategic ? You don't have to attend Board meetings to be strategic ? You don't have to be asked to be strategic ? You don't have to wait to be strategic "Being strategic" as a RevOps professional is more about mindset ?? Thinking strategically and approaching the business with a strategic mindset ??? What do I mean? When approaching any challenge, problem, request, or issue - ?? Always focus on enabling the business Doing the day-to-day with an eye on enabling the business to - ?? Achieve and exceed goals & targets ?? Execute efficiently and effectively ?? Make the best decisions and take the right actions ?? Have the right visibility to the right people at the right time ?? Provide a seamless, excellent customer experience ?? Grow and scale predictably ?? Always tying the day-to-day operations back to these ??? things That's the start of "being strategic" And EVERYONE can do that ????♀? Sometimes, I feel like as RevOps leaders we talk about process all the time why we need process how to define process how to document process how to drive process how to govern process how to improve process ????♀? But does it REALLY matter? YES YES YES ??? Without process - how can you create predictability how can you scale and be repeatable how can you set the right expectations how can you drive alignment how can you improve efficiency how can you be more effective how can you understand what's working and what's not ???
