It always surprises me when I hear organizations do not have robust lead scoring in place Businesses spend so much effort, time, resources, money, to generate: ? brand awareness ? interest in the offering ? traffic to the website ? thought leadership ? amazing content ? captivating events Why would you not treat those inbounds like ??? With very early inbound marketing, the focus is to just get enough leads in the funnel. But once there is a healthy inbound funnel, you have to prioritize because not all leads are not created equally! ?? Some will not be a good fit for the product ?? Some will not be ready to purchase ?? Some may just be looking to learn more So how do you prioritize? How do you respond to them appropriately? We don't have a data strategy to share - the right data... to the right people... at the right time... and make that data actionable... Which is why you need a data strategy with - ?? a data dictionary ?? clear data policy ?? strong data management ?? ongoing data governance And most importantly - what you are going to do with the data Next. Best. Action. ????♀? As an example, how many times have you struggled with good contact data for your revenue team? But what is "good contact data"? ? Having the right names, titles, phones numbers, email addresses... ? For the right people. At the right time. Having a data strategy around contact data helps you - ? identify the right data for the right contacts ? understand how you are going to leverage the contact data ? put plays into action to use the data to reach the right people ? manage, update, govern the data ongoing THEN - you can bring in the right tools like FullEnrich to manage all of your data enrichment providers and serve up the right data to the right people Strategy first.     ?? What is the best way to become an expert in your field? ? ?? My best advice? ? ? Put in the work. Plain and simple. ? Roll up your sleeves, dive in, work in the trenches ? Learn your profession inside and out, up and down, sideways, vertically, horizontally ? Be intentional ? Be patient ? Always be learning ? Engage in community ? Take on projects (even for free) to gain experience ? Attend webinars, events, classes ? Seek a mentor or hire a professional coach. Someone who has been where you want to go. Especially in RevOps or GTM Operations - ? ???? The profession is so broad, so deep, and so critical - ? ?? Becoming an expert doesn't happen overnight ? ? And if anyone tells you that it does, they are lying to you Before I even started touching operations, I spent years in credit, accounts receivable, finance, quote to cash, and even product marketing - ? Then when I became a leader in an Ops capacity - ? ???? 3 years as a Manager ???? 4 years as a Sr. Manager ???? 7 years as a Director ???? 2 years as a Sr. Director ????
