Its easy to forget - we don’t bond over wins. We bond through struggle As members of The Post, we took a private class at Equinox Nomad with Waz Ashayer, and while the workout was brutal, what stood out wasn’t just the challenge—it was the connection. Pushing through when it gets tough. Encouraging each other when we want to quit. Showing up—together. Athletes understand this. The best teams aren’t just skilled; they’re forged in the hard. And its clear that business is no different. The people who push you, support you, and grow with you through the challenges? That’s our real community. This experience has me reflecting on the environments I put myself in and the people I surround myself with. Because at the end of the day, growth isn’t just about what you do—it’s about who you do it with. Equinox ? The Post

Adversity (noun): A state or instance of serious or continued difficulty or misfortune. Every athlete has faced adversity—whether it’s an unexpected injury, a losing streak, or the pressure of a championship game. And just like in sports, business leaders encounter adversity in the form of market downturns, failed deals, or setbacks. What gets us through those moments? It’s not just personal resilience—it’s playing for something bigger than ourselves. When we’re part of a team, we find the grit to keep fighting because we refuse to let others down. That perspective fuels us, in sports and in business. The key? It’s not about avoiding adversity; it’s about our response to it. ?? In Sports: - A team down at halftime doesn’t panic—they adjust their strategy and rally back. - A quarterback who gets injured doesn’t quit—they commit to rehab and come back stronger next season. - A player facing difficult conditions doesn’t give up-they adjust their mindset and mechanics and find a way to win. ?? In Business: - A company hit hard by an economic downturn doesn’t fold—they shift to a new strategy and find various revenue streams. - A startup that launches a product with no traction doesn’t abandon ship—they analyze customer feedback, refine their offering, and relaunch with a better fit. - A sales person who loses a deal doesn’t stop—they nurture the relationship, identify new prospects, and turn the loss into a learning opportunity. The same resilience that helps athletes push through tough moments is what makes great business leaders thrive. At The Post, we see it firsthand—former athletes leveraging their competitive mindset and team-first mentality to navigate high-pressure environments with confidence. They don’t just perform under pressure; they rise to the occasion because they know they’re part of something bigger than themselves. What’s one lesson from your playing days that helps you tackle adversity in business today?

Have you heard of The Post? It’s the only private network that connects leaders built by sport. Launched in 2021, The Post supports former college, professional, and Olympic athletes by easing the transition from sport to career and connecting the dots between the two. And what a thriving network we have created together as former athletes looking for a place to connect with new "teammates." Last week, I joined Founder/CEO Christian Ponder on his podcast to talk about the leadership lessons I learned through a lifetime of sport, a topic I am passionate about. We talked about how my days as a ????♀? D1 swimmer and Christian’s as a ?? D1 and NFL player shaped our leadership styles. From ?? teamwork and the importance of coaching to resilience, time management, and goal orientation, we covered it all. When it comes to The Post, Christian and I are on the same team, “Team 3” (aka “Team Thrive”) but make no mistake, when it comes to college sports, I am a ?? #UFGator through and through and he is a #Seminole. So, there is definitely a bit of rivalry every time we talk – in fact we have a little bet going on this fall’s football game. You’ll have to tune in to find out just what it is. And if you want to learn more about The Post and explore membership, check out their website or DM me. I’m happy to connect with you. ?? If you’re an athlete or former athlete, drop a comment below. I’d really love to hear about your transition to the business world and how your athletic career has influenced your work life. ? #GoGators #teamwork #builtbysport #thepost #womeninsports

The skills honed through sport make up your aOS (Athlete Operating System)—discipline, resilience, adaptability, and the ability to perform under pressure. These don’t fade when the game ends. They evolve. At The Post, we believe being an athlete isn’t just about competition; it’s a mindset, a way of operating, a relentless pursuit of excellence. Here, the drive that fueled you on the field, court, or track powers your leadership in business and beyond. The Post is where athletes continue to push limits, forge strong teams, and compete at the highest levels—this time, in boardrooms, ventures, and new industries. Your athletic journey didn’t end when you left the game. It simply entered a new arena.
