The Point of the Mountain State Land Authority (Land Authority) Board convened this week for its regular monthly meeting. The following actions were taken during the meeting: ? Received public comment. ? Swore in the newly appointed board members, as outlined in Senate Bill 166 (2025 General Legislative Session). Board members include: Representative Jordan Teuscher (Co-Chair), V. Lowry Snow (Co-Chair), Mayor Dawn Ramsey, April Cooper, Mayor Jenny Wilson, Senator Jerry Stevenson, and Mayor Troy Walker. ? Reviewed and approved the FY25 February financial report, demonstrating lean spending and prudent budgeting. The board also adopted several budget line adjustments. ? Heard a presentation from The Point's Phase I development partners, The Point Partners, regarding a proposed sub-campus entertainment venue. ? Adopted a resolution approving the Public Infrastructure District (PID) event venue sub-campus application, the dedication of public funds to support the sub-campus infrastructure development, and the inclusion of the sub-campus acreage within the PID.
