Like the rest of the #aviation industry, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the current situation at Boeing.? Last month, Boeing factory workers went on strike, causing airplane production to halt. This has created ripples felt throughout the industry, leading to concerns about future flight availability and possible delays. Here’s what we know: ??The strike could extend into mid-November, based on previous Boeing strikes. ??A prolonged strike could cost Boeing up to $3.5 billion in cash flow, with significant deferred revenue. ??The last major strike in 2008 cost Boeing approximately $100 million daily in deferred revenue. ??CEO Ortberg will face investors for the first time as Boeing’s CEO on Oct. 23. ??The company plans to cut 10% of its workforce in the coming months.
