MJBizDaily asked Panther COO Michael Teller what rescheduling would look like post-election. Michael offered a singular perspective that neither candidate would be 'better’ for the cannabis industry, but rather, each has differing political motivations for the inevitable declassification of cannabis—Democrats and Republicans alike. Although only Teller's quote regarding Trump's potential position was used, he offered MJBiz a perspective on VP Harris, which was not used in the story.?See Teller’s quote below: ‘Historically, Harris has been anti-cannabis and as Attorney General, she was responsible for imprisoning over 1,500 people in California. However, her party has become very pro-cannabis, viewing it as a way to connect with younger voters and their base. Under Harris’ administration, rescheduling and ultimately SAFE Banking are expected.’ You can check out the full story below:?https://lnkd.in/enTJWu9P?

Thank you John Persinos for interviewing me for an article in InvestingDaily.com. It was fun to pull out my crystal ball and forecast the impact of recent and upcoming regulatory changes and ballot initiatives on domestic and international cannabis markets. https://lnkd.in/etDH-9a3 Some of the key points discussed are: 1. Momentum and direction of valuations amongst impending regulatory changes. 2. International opportunities and risks. 3. Importance of consolidation and scale among MSOs and plant touching operators. 4. Proven real estate capital strategies that are poised to continue to perform well.

Thanks InvestmentNews and Josh Welsh for speaking with me about the opportunities for cannabis investment, post rescheduling. Here are some of my main themes around rescheduling: 1. It’s go time. The race to scale and unlock shareholder value begins in earnest, waiting for the rules to be in place will be too late. 2. Big pharma, tobacco, alcohol and mainstream CPG companies are lurking, and in some instances already making waves (Pfizer, Total Wine & More and BAT - British American Tobacco). 3. Companies must scale quickly and capital efficiently, leveraging proven operators with upward trajectory. 4. From a capital perspective, rescheduling puts cannabis on par with pharmaceuticals, signaling to investors the “water is warm.” 5. Rescheduling brings along increased complexity and necessitates investment - a national medical supply chain requires investment in new pharma grade, FDA approved infrastructure and integration with traditional healthcare. 6. Ultra high-net-worth individuals, RIAs and family offices with the capacity and flexibility to enter will capture significant upside while traditional investors will be held back by reputational risk and red tape.

Jordan Tritt, founder and CEO of?The Panther Group , shared insights into the cannabis investment space with InvestorPlace, stating that he?anticipates “medical cannabis to be a part of the overall existing medical supply chain” and believes “this will be advantageous to endemic players.”?He also noted that recreational sellers stand to benefit in the long term, as they “will ultimately function like liquor stores and dispense more concentrated, non-medical, dosed cannabis products.” https://lnkd.in/gAdKm2PW
