We conducted a Clash of the Titans-style challenge, evaluating two key tasks: ? Building a very simple website. ? Building a complex application—a CRM with authentication. All four solutions successfully handled the first task. However, when it came to the second challenge, only Replit and Origin AI succeeded ??. While Replit is primarily designed for technical users, Origin AI focuses on empowering non-technical users. In our category, this was a big win! ?? #GenAI is facing some early headwinds because evidence of true business value has been lacking. Our next release is an antidote to this. Thanks for following the journey! TL;DR: OriginAI has successfully used it's hashtag #GenAI platform to generate and deploy a scrap inventory application for Crevel Europe Gmbh. The software was created using a business-language (non technical) prompt and without a single developer touching the code. The journey to real business value from hashtag #GenAI: Glancing at the current stock prices of key AI companies like NVIDIA might suggest the world is experiencing its first wave of skepticism towards GenAI. As someone who spends the majority of their working time with frontier AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic and others, I find this perspective a bit puzzling. After all, AI—especially Generative AI—is still in its infancy, and many services, like Origin, that demonstrate real value, are still at seed stage and need time to grow. It's ridiculous to judge the future of the market solely on the current outputs. In truth, we're on the brink of a transformation in how we work and live—on a scale comparable to the Internet or the Industrial Revolution (and I don't use those examples lightly). The impact will be enormous. I can understand the skepticism, though. Beyond chatbots like GPT, the tangible business value of GenAI can seem elusive. Where are the profits, aside from cloud hosting providers and chip makers? In Origin's wheelhouse (GenAI code and software generation) we see that there's a strong focus on software engineering benchmarks as a sign of progress - which is unfortunate, as whilst an AI scoring 30% on an academic set of coding challenges is cool, it isn't the kind of actual business value the world is looking for. That’s why I’m especially excited about our latest release, which represents a significant step forward. In this video, you’ll see Origin’s first beta customer, Crevel Europe, and the scrap inventory management application that Origin generated and deployed—all without a single developer ever touching the code.
