New study: Blood and urine from 600 toddlers – here are the results! A recent study by the Swedish Food Agency analyzed blood and urine samples from nearly 600 children aged 1.5 and 4 years, revealing low levels of unwanted substances like lead, mercury, cadmium, PFAS, and bisphenols.?Notably, lead levels have decreased significantly since the 1970s, attributed to reduced environmental exposure.?However, some children still exhibit higher levels of PFAS and bisphenol A, substances present in the environment, food, and drinking water.?Encouragingly, dietary habits have improved over the past two decades, with increased consumption of fruits and vegetables and reduced intake of red meat and sugar.
