The Oaks Academy stands apart in a world increasingly shaped by technology, offering students a learning approach free from technological distractions. This private school has campuses in the Fall Creek, Brookside and Martindale-Brightwood neighborhoods. At The Oaks Academy, educators use traditional teaching methods, like memorization, poetry, cursive writing, note-taking, sketching and chalkboards to provide a technology-free learning environment. Chromebooks and other digital devices are purposefully absent from students' desks. School leaders voiced their concerns about the adverse effects of excessive screen time on students' academic performance and emotional well-being, acknowledging the value of limiting screen usage. https://lnkd.in/gpmKc2MB
