    Just returned from the #OneEarthSummit2025, where I had the privilege of representing The Next Practice and participating alongside corporate sustainability leader, Joy Phi. The conversations on #Sustainability, #ClimateFinance, #OceanEconomy, #ImpactInvesting and the role of #FamilyOffices were bold, honest, and exactly what we need at this critical inflection point. Here’s my takeaway and reflection: Climate Finance is no longer a tools problem—it’s a mindset one. The question isn’t how, but why we keep clinging to outdated practices. If we’re serious about global transformation, we need to invest in credible nature-based carbon credits and shift capital toward the Global South as perceived risk can’t keep blocking real change. The Ocean Economy is rising. We heard powerful cases for blended finance, citizen science, and using data to unlock biodiversity credits. Data + finance = a pathway to prove what works and move faster, especially in underfunded marine conservation. We need reframing of sustainability narratives and speaking in terms that people can connect with, making sustainability engagement relevant and action-oriented. “Greenwashing is better than no washing”—a wake-up call and a challenge. As we look to COP30, the focus needs to be on accountability. Using “journey” as an excuse is no longer acceptable. Family Offices are leaning in with speed, agility, and intentionality. They are making their own rules and leading the charge in impact investing, using capital as a tool for regeneration not just growth. We need: - Partnerships that cross borders - Patient capital and innovation in business model - Reframing of sustainability messaging rooted in marketing strategy – Education and upskilling, especially in ocean and climate data – Optimism + Action Let’s close the gap between sustainability awareness and action. #NatureBasedSolutions #ImpactInvesting #SustainabilityMarketing #SustainabilityLeadership #DataForImpact
