Zamara Rodríguez shares her journey from studying international relations and law to becoming the Program Manager for the Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA) Astra Program and Executive Assistant at the Space Industry Association of Australia. Inspired by her love for space and a desire to make an impact, she applied for the AROSE Milo Mission Academy for Lunar Exploration, with a sponsored position from the iLAuNCH Trailblazer. “My career isn't just about program management; I also advocate for diversity and inclusion in the space sector. ?? The MILO Climate Action Academy Has Officially Launched! ?? We’re thrilled to have welcomed so many dedicated Climate Action Heroes last week! ??♀?? ??? In our first session, participants met with 8 local climate adaptation experts who will be supporting them throughout the academy: José Javier Hernández Ayala, PhD ,Edil A. Sepúlveda Carlo, Arch. Fernando Pabón AIA, CAAPPR , Ricardo Burgos, Wilford Schmidt Alejandro Mieses, Adrian Santiago Tate, and Pablo Mendez-Lazaro. They gained invaluable firsthand insights into climate adaptation expertise on our island. ???? A heartfelt thank you to these dedicated volunteers for their invaluable contribution to our academy.?? In our second session, we also had the honor of hosting Orlando Figueroa, a Puerto Rican retired NASA Senior Executive with 46 years of experience in managing and developing scientific space programs. ??? His insights into teaming and leadership were truly inspiring. With two impactful sessions already completed, we’re excited to see the innovative solutions and actions our heroes will bring to address climate challenges in Puerto Rico. ??????
