When the conversation flows?too?well,?you need a leader?- and unique tactics - to?keep things moving! Ashley Fortner-Domínguez?brought the energy (and the chimes!) while facilitating?a recent session?with Fresno Unified School District leaders. Working alongside?Michelle Jarney, Ashley kept the gallery walk on beat with a chime every couple of minutes. By the end, someone laughed and said, “You’re?really?into those chimes!” ?????? Sometimes,?as our work at?The Leadership Academy?demonstrates,?#edleadership is about knowing when to spark reflection?—?and when to ring the bell.

Luis Torres?is an award-winning school #principal. A community connector. And with a Bronx street named after him and thousands of social media followers, he's a bit of a celebrity. We're also proud to say that he's an alum of The Leadership Academy. When we asked Luis about his success with students, families, and the community since his days working with The Leadership Academy, his answer reflected a core principle of our work: centering students in every decision and action. We help education leaders employ student-centered practices because we know it creates meaningful change that lifts all students. As Luis says, it's more than a component of being a successful #edleader. It's the foundation.

  • To create transformative schools, principals need the support of transformative supervisors. They need #edleaders who empower them to reach their full potential and prepare every student for success in the classroom and beyond. Registration is now open for this dynamic 9-month program, which elevates the skills of new and experienced principal supervisors, helping them become true changemakers.
