?****Big Announcement**** We're thrilled to reveal that Camp Kita is embarking on an exciting new chapter! Since 2013, we've served as a sanctuary for children who've lost a loved one to suicide. Today, we are expanding our horizons. At our new home on Loon Pond, Camp Kita will grow into The Kita Center. We're not only a summer camp anymore. We are now a mental wellness community center rooted in supportive and restorative care and social connection for New England and beyond. We'll continue to host our flagship Camp Kita program, but we're also introducing training, retreats, support groups, and community programs geared toward suicide prevention. Together, we'll create a brighter future for everyone affected by suicide loss and suicide risk. Welcome to The Kita Center. With expanded programs and new operational expenses on the horizon, we need your support more than ever. Thank you for considering a gift! #TheKitaCenter?#mentalhealthmatters ?#suicideprevention ?#socialconnection

Exciting Program Expansion at The Kita Center! We’re thrilled to wrap up our first-ever family retreat, a significant milestone in our mission to support survivor families. This program was born directly from your survey feedback, and we’re so proud to see it come to life. From grief work to play work, families engaged in meaningful activities designed to foster connection, healing, and growth. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, confirming what we’ve long known—these retreats are essential. I’m happy to share that this is just the beginning. We’ll soon be offering this retreat and other mental health and survivor-focused programs on our property, continuing our commitment to lifelong mental wellness. Check out some of the highlights below. Your continued support and feedback make all of this possible!

We're overjoyed to announce that the first round of publisher donations for our Grief and Connection Library at our Acton home have arrived. We are diligently working on building a collection of carefully selected materials to cater to all walks of grief. Our library aims to be a haven where people can drop in, find empowerment, and foster connections with themselves, loved ones, and the community. It's not just a space for those directly affected by grief but also for those wanting to support a friend or family member going through a loss. We Want Your Input! What books or resources would you recommend we include? Share your thoughts below! A heartfelt thank you to the first round of publishers who have generously contributed to our cause: Child's Play Candlewick Press Columbia University Press Crown Publishing Regal House, Fitzroy Books Author Bob Baugher
