  • Pogroms didn’t end with history - they’re happening today in Europe. This week in Amsterdam, Jewish fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv found themselves hunted in the streets simply for who they are. In our latest blog post, we dig into what this resurgence of hate means for the Jewish people - and for all of us. Silence isn’t an option. ?? Read the full story and stand with us.? https://lnkd.in/ej7aMmma #ForZionsSake

  • With division on every front, some believers are stepping back, declaring "Jesus 2024: Our Only Hope." While it's a powerful reminder to keep our eyes on Him, it’s simply not enough to watch from the sidelines. Our faith calls us to be active, engaged, and responsible in our world - not passive spectators. This episode dives into why Christians must participate in the democratic process, even when it feels intimidating or divisive. Drawing from the story of Esther, Ron and Matt discuss how God’s sovereignty doesn’t relieve us from action; it calls us to it. Esther didn’t sit back and “let go and let God” - she stepped up, even at personal risk, because the fate of her people depended on it. Today, as believers, we’re called to step up in our own way, and voting is one of those ways. The conversation covers not only the importance of this responsibility but also how our choices impact issues that matter deeply to God’s heart, including Israel and the direction of our nation. Don’t sit this one out. Listen in to be inspired, challenged, and encouraged to show up, speak up, and cast your vote.

  • Seems like every day has a new and significant headline that is shaping, changing, and preparing our world for what is to come. Even this morning we’ve received messages from one of our contacts in Jerusalem… "Shalom from Jerusalem, Matt and Ron. Please pray for all of Israel. Iran and all of her proxies are calling for a day of rage today, Friday. But also they are all threatening to attack Israel. We have our safe room (mamad) almost ready. Just need to buy some water and put non-perishable food in it. Everything else is ready. Our son was supposed to fly out to the US this weekend, but there are no flights." These are not surprising times, but they are crucial times. What will the world do with Israel? What will you do with Israel? “But the Lord is faithful. HE will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3

  • In this episode of The Jewish Road Podcast, 'The Bitter & The Sweet,' we talk through the intense emotions surrounding Israel's back-to-back observances: Yom HaZikaron, a somber Memorial Day, and Yom Ha'Atzmaut, the vibrant celebration of Independence Day. What we are seeing in the headlines these days encapsulate the ongoing story of Israel - a nation carved out of conflict and marked by continual struggle for existence against rising tides of global antisemitism. Join us as we discuss how Israel's fierce spirit of independence is intertwined with the profound sacrifices made by its people. We'll explore why the existence of a Jewish state is not just a political necessity but a the only hope in a world where ancient enmities persist. We also talk about how believers worldwide can support Israel in these trying times, emphasizing the church’s role in advocating for peace and justice. This discussion is not just about remembering the past - it's about actively shaping the future in anticipation of the Messiah's return.

  • Today, I felt small.? I looked up into the sky and watched the solar eclipse. I was astounded on multiple levels.? I was astounded that humans can discern enough to not only know when these celestial occasions will take place, but can chart the sun, moon, and stars going back millennia! How?!? I was astounded that from the very beginning, God, in Genesis 1, set the sun, moon, and stars in their place for appointed times, the moadim. God felt very big today, and I felt very small. I was astounded at a world who watched this event cheered the event on, and when the 3 minutes and 49 seconds of totality finally arrived, the crowds cheered not only creation, but the Creator - knowingly or not. While many spent time today looking at the solar eclipse, tonight we observe a much different celestial activity, a new moon.? New blog post on the new moon.
