On LinkedIn, I have been one of those people that sticks with the robotic 'delighted to announce' prompt, when sharing things. And let's be honest, most of us are just making announcements because we think we should. It's the digital evolution to the Boomer parent advice of "that'll look great on your CV!" So, I wanted to actually write a recap of some highlights from last year. Things that I never even thought of putting on LinkedIn, but I should have. (why yes, it is my New Year's Resolution to celebrate the little wins) 1. Joined web3 socials - Lens Protocol in late August and have gained 6.9K followers already. A nice professional looking number to announce on LinkedIn! If you're fed up with the current web2 socials rewarding conformity and seeing the same ole influencer playbook, give it a go. The beauty of a protocol over a platform is that you own your data and there's no one central owner to bow to. You can even code your own algorithm. It's at a lovely playful and growth stage and it's just fantastic to be apart of. 2. My Sarah Words token collection was featured in a few HUG (acq. dotART) newsletters. That's right, a number of times throughout the year. Thank you Randi Zuckerberg, Debbie Soon and Amy McMillen for the constant features. Can't wait to see what Ulvi Kasimov has in store for 2025. 3. Received a scholarship for SheFi - Season 11. Hands down, the best thing I did last year. Maggie Love is an incredible teacher, making each topic even more interesting. As an artist in web3, I got to learn about DeFi, DAO's, staking, lending and layer 2 scaling solutions, like the seasons sponsor Arbitrum. 4. I attended my first SheFi event in Brussels. An incredible event that I will absolutely make a regular occurance. 5. Some of my Sarah Words work was featured in ARCHIV3 - a New York art publication. As well as being selected to exhibit at the JRNY Gallery in Las Vegas. I've never been to Las Vegas myself, but it was nice to send my work out for a spin. 6. Finally, I do hope that your emails find you well fed. Nobody wants a hangry reply ??

Advocated for diversity and representation in Web3 and AI, continuing to highlight the beauty of self-embrace and storytelling through my art. ?? Creative Education & Collaboration ? Directed an immersive fashion show in Colombia, guiding students to merge technology and traditional fashion design. ? Collaborated with dream brands such as L'Oréal and Miss Dior. Live sketching during Macy’s Herald Square Annual Flower Show ? Grew my freelance business and added AI Creative Director services to Wildflower Fields LLC ?? 2024 reminded me of the transformative power of creativity, the strength in community, and the importance of celebrating what makes us unique.
