Improving Clinical Trial Access Through Navigation ?? In a newly published blog post, Dr. Carol Wang, Ph.D., Director of Clinical Research at We Are Here, highlights the critical role of patient navigation services in enhancing clinical trial access. By addressing educational, logistical, and financial barriers, patient navigators empower underserved communities to participate in clinical research, fostering greater inclusivity and diversity. Dr. Wang emphasizes that these services not only guide patients through complex trial processes but also build trust and provide tailored support, ultimately improving patient outcomes and advancing medical innovation. Dr. Wang’s research confirms the positive impact that our mission of modernizing cancer navigation will have for both patients and clinical research organizations. This blog post written by our co-founder and CEO Shea Mencel is a must read! ?? Learn more about Shea's personal journey through breast cancer, how it ignited her desire to create a better solution through We Are Here, and how our partnership with KINNECT is changing navigation for the better. Thanks for sharing Omar Alvarez!
Excited to share the second installment of our partnership—a blog written by Shea Mencel, co-founder and CEO of We Are Here. Shea is a survivor, a builder, and someone I deeply respect. In this piece, she shares what it was like to be diagnosed with breast cancer at 29, face a recurrence, and still choose to turn pain into purpose. That purpose became We Are Here—a platform closing fundamental gaps in cancer care. KINNECT exists for life;?we never know what cards we will be dealt. Cancer affects over 19 million Americans and their families. In those moments, connection and privacy are not just helpful but essential. Read Shea’s story on the Kinnect blog. It is worth your time. https://lnkd.in/e7pECJ_U #cancercommunity #digitalhealth #mentalhealth #storytelling #privacy #kinnect

Big news—we’re teaming up with KINNECT. We’re kicking things off with a special blog post written by KINNECT’s founder and CEO, Omar Alvarez. Cancer doesn’t just change one person’s life. It shifts the whole family—how we talk to each other, show up, and support each other through the hard stuff. In the blog below, Omar shares why he created KINNECT—a private, deeply personal space for families navigating cancer—and why this partnership means so much. Social media can feel too loud, and support groups can feel too broad. Families need something closer and more intentional. That’s what KINNECT offers: a quiet, invite-only space where people can share voice notes, videos, encouragement—whatever helps them feel connected. It's built for all kinds of families, including Spanish speakers and LGBTQ+ communities because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Here’s what this partnership means for our community: ? ?? Real support, no performative fluff. ?? Private, safe space to connect. ?? A way to hold on to what matters most. Read the full blog post to hear directly from Omar—and see why this collaboration is so unique. https://lnkd.in/guBauq4M #WeAreHere #KINNECT #CancerSupport #FamilyFirst

Empowering the Cancer Community, Together. Our mission is to simplify and modernize cancer navigation—because time, energy, and financial resources should be spent on healing, not navigating complexity. That’s one of the many reasons we’re proud to collaborate with Livestrong, an organization that has been a pillar of strength and advocacy for those facing cancer. By working together, we’re able to support each other's missions and create real impact—helping individuals and families access the resources they need, when they need them most. We are grateful for the support and guidance Livestrong has given us over the years and look forward to our continued partnership! #WeAreHere #Livestrong #CancerSupport #HealthcareInnovation #PatientAdvocacy #CollaborationForImpact
