We are proud to stand as the only organization in the US dedicated to providing comprehensive Dementia Doll Therapy training and Certification My work in Dementia started with caring for my Grandmother, Ruby Sims. The days of caring for her were long but love-filled. Although she loved her grandchildren, in the end she found comfort in a baby doll. The doll brought her peace and a sense of purpose during times of insomnia and agitation. Studies have proven the use of therapy dolls reduce insomnia, agitation, wondering, anxiety, sun downing, yelling and violent outburst. These types of behaviors of difficult to manage at home and in a community setting. Techniques like the introduction of a GRAND BABY doll are innovative, organic and non-pharmacologic. The Grand Baby Project delivers life like therapy dolls to local Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities through our Baby Shower events.
