At The Gary Payton II Foundation, we are committed to not only spreading awareness but also empowering students with dyslexia to reach their full potential. Dyslexic thinking is a superpower—it fuels innovation, creativity, and complex problem-solving. However, without the right support, many students struggle to access the resources they need. That’s why the GPII foundation is doing the work to: ?? Provide Dyslexia Evaluations: Through our partnership with Children's Health Council and Morrissey Compton, we’re offering scholarships to fund evaluations for students, helping families understand how to best support their children’s learning needs. ?? Create Inclusive Learning Resources: Our foundation is proud to work with Project Read on the EduConnect Educator Resource Scholarship, which offers teachers a free subscription to innovative tools designed to help students with dyslexia thrive in the classroom. ?? Host Engaging Community Events: From fundraising events like Bet on Dyslexia: Casino Night for a Cause to workshops and partnerships, we’re building a stronger community that rallies around students with dyslexia. ?? We’re excited to announce our partnership with Children’s Health Council (CHC) to further expand access to dyslexia evaluations and resources for families in need! Through this collaboration, the GPII Foundation Dyslexia Support Program will provide scholarships to ensure that more children can receive the evaluations and support they deserve. ??? Who is Children’s Health Council? CHC is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children, teens, and young adults with learning differences, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. With over 65 years of experience, CHC offers a range of specialized services, including expert dyslexia evaluations, therapy, and educational support to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive both in school and life. At the Gary Payton II Foundation, we believe in breaking down barriers to education and ensuring that every child can access the tools they need to succeed.
