There is always a first time.... On International Women's Day last year, I had the honor of being the keynote speaker at the Polish Professional Women Silicon Valley I have spoken at numerous events but this was my first time as a keynote speaker. Thank you Monika Evje, PMP, CSPO for recommending me. Not only was this such an uplifting experience speaking to this amazing community on "unlocking and showcasing your potential to step into your power" but the event was beautifully executed and it led to so many fantastic new connections including Joanna Lorincz, Magda Jaworowicz, PhD, PMP, Paula Sieron-Shanley, Izabela Jastrzebowska MA, JD, Izabela Stepniewski, Marlena Guderska, Gosia Herudzinska, MBA ?? to name a few. I also won a fabulous gift basket :) I have since partnered with the organization to host an event, some of their community members have joined The Expat Woman Membership, and also had an event sponsored and support for our graphics and promotion by community members. It was an event that keeps giving and my network and community is richer because of all the connections and collaborations. They are hosting their IWD event this year again- International Women's Day. Next Chapter: Growth on March 15th in Palo Alto. The event includes networking, cool raffle prizes and a panel discussion with Audrey Rose Majerczak, Michal Majerczak and Katie Fenner, CFA Link to get tickets in the comments. When was the last time you attended an in-person event and how did you network? ---- I'm Nyna Caputi, Founder and CEO of The Expat Woman, supporting dynamic women living abroad with cultivating community, collaborations and opportunities and also a LinkedIn Coach and Trainer Nyna Caputi

What’s the #1 key to thriving abroad? Hint: It’s not just about where you live or what you do, but who you connect with! Your network, your tribe, your community Do you agree? At today’s The Expat Woman Membership Meetup, we focused on exactly that—networking and building meaningful connections with our members who could attend the event. It's always inspiring to bring our members together from across the globe and time zones to - exchange ideas, ask for or give support, share their goals, their wins, what they are working on, at these monthly meetups. "So many great connections and engaging conversations!!! Love our calls, these always give me more and more positive energy :)" - Bianka Olszewska " I love getting back to work after one of those calls - I'm super energized!" - Estefania Barsante, PCC ?"It was great exchanging ideas with all you lovely ladies!" - Julie M. Marx "I very much enjoyed connecting with all you ladies today. It was the first monthly event I attended, but it will definitely not be the last! I found it inspiring, collaborative, welcoming, and informative." - Samantha Frearson-Tubito "It was great to be with all of you. I always learn something useful!" - Michelle Natalya Moore There have been so many powerful connections and collaborations made through our membership networking events on Zoom and inside the membership hub. And the camaraderie and friendships that stem from these meetups and inside our membership hub, across borders, cultures and time zones is so beautiful to witness. Next week on March 12th to celebrate International Women's Day we are inviting our larger expat woman community and friends to attend a free virtual networking event. I can't wait. Link to register in comments. And here are some tips to network and nurture connections abroad from our members who attended the meetup today "Be kind, generous, and curious. Instead of focusing on "What can I get?" shift your mindset to "What can I learn and contribute?" Opportunities follow genuine connections! This goes for networking events, coffee chats, and even sending DMs." - Estefania Barsante, PCC My tip for building connections: be authentic, be kind, be truthful. " - Samantha Frearson-Tubito Do you have a tip to share? Let me know in the comments P.S. The doors to The Expat Woman Membership are now open. When you move to another country, you need to lean even more into not just building your network but also sharing and showcasing your expertise, your skills, your experience. You can start with updating and optimizing your profile. What challenges do you face with creating a winning profile? Do participate in this poll by our founder Nyna Caputi https://lnkd.in/gwVhSZTt
Helping Expat Women Cultivate Community, Confidence, & Visibility for Career Advancement, Financial Independence and Personal Success | The Expat Woman Founder/ CEO | LinkedIn? Coach for Expats, Execs. & Entrepreneurs
Do you cringe when people visit your LinkedIn profile? Because it's outdated, has barely anything on it, it's just a copy and paste of your resume? Or are you proud of it as it represents what you currently do, your unique expertise, experiences and skills, who your help and how you help them? 1. Your LinkedIn profile is your digital billboard—when optimized, it showcases your expertise, attracts the right audience, and unlocks new opportunities! 2. Your LinkedIn profile is dynamic and can evolve as your career and projects shift. 3. Since it’s indexed by Google, it’s often one of the first results when someone searches your name—making it a powerful tool for visibility. 4. Most social media bios or profiles have limited space to showcase your expertise, experiences, achievements, and social proof compared to LinkedIn. When was the last time you updated your LinkedIn profile? Although I teach other professionals how to use LinkedIn, I am also guilty of not being proactive with updating and refining my profile. If you want to learn or get inspired to optimize your LinkedIn profile, I am hosting a LinkedIn Profile Masterclass on Feb. 25th at 9am PST. Link in the comments
