Digital Corps

It’s that time of year again: finals season. Our students are balancing school, Corps work, personal lives, and the transition into adulthood. Finals season mixed with holidays can be a stressful time, but a little puppy love helped relieve some of that stress! Our Communication Team Lead, Maggie Lewis, led the effort to bring in Magdalene, a certified comfort dog. Students had the chance to pet and cuddle with Magdalene during her visit. This was her second time visiting the office, and we can’t wait for the next one!? We hope this puppy-love session mixed with some time off to celebrate Thanksgiving gives our students the break they deserve.??

The Fab Lab recently collaborated with Ball State Indiana Public Radio to complete their first large-scale client project. IPR recently launched a new station called 89.5 The Note.? The beginning of this classical music station called for a celebration and some large signs that the Fab Lab was happy to create and provide! WOW! Our Fab Lab Open House was a success!? We had a blast educating everyone on our new space and sharing how the Ball State community can take advantage of this space. We could say so many words to express our excitement for our event, but we will let these pictures do the talking. Check them out!??

One of the Digital Corps values is “Being the best and striving to be the best.” We couldn’t think of a sentence that represents these three students and the presentation they recently gave at the 2024 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis.? Digital Corps Masters Saige Chandler, Laura Latham and Hailey Vrolyk spent weeks preparing for this presentation and absolutely hit it out of the park when the day arrived. They educated their audience on what the Corps is, how it works and the benefits it has on students and Ball State as a whole.? Sharing what we do at the Corps with other IT and higher ed professionals is vital, and these three did a fantastic job!??
