Today DCBC President Trevor Lee, City of Kearney City Manager Brenda Jensen, AICP, and?Younes Hospitality?President Paul Younes testified before the Revenue Committee regarding several bills related to the Good Life Transformational Projects Act. Last July Kearney applied to become the fifth and final Good Life District in the state. The application is currently under review by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. Kearney's proposal includes $225 million in new investments and has the potential to create more than 6,000 jobs.

$200,000 has been awarded by 6 Regions, One Nebraska to support early childhood workforce development over 26 counties in Central NE. These funds will be used to support child care champions in providing one-on-one mentoring to help entrepreneurs obtain childcare licensure, create business plans, and access business development resources.
