Quite the conversation at #InvestCLT this week! If you missed it, don't worry, I took notes. ???? I had the pleasure of attending #InvestCLT, hosted by caa as a guest of Charlotte Mecklenburg BLACK CHAMBER of Commerce. It was an incredible opportunity to hear from leaders in finance, healthcare, and real estate about the challenges and opportunities shaping Charlotte’s future. But if you know me, you know I was locked in on the real estate conversation. The key takeaway was that Charlotte needs to prepare to accommodate growth. 117 people are moving to the Charlotte region every day (the largest increase in new residents in 15 years). But what do these numbers mean? The panel expressed that these growth rates require development in spite of current market obstacles and warned of the potential consequences of the lack of development, such as escalating housing prices. To my pleasant surprise, a significant amount of the conversation was focused on the importance of public transit to support growth.?
