Since 1939, The Christian Mission has been a catalyst that empowers the community to become advocates and serve those in need to achieve an improved quality of life. We engage the community to recognize and remove barriers and challenge how society views poverty. Through collaboration with the community, the Mission exists to break the cycle of poverty by providing crisis assistance, case management, and educational programming. We are focused on ending generational poverty and increasing economic mobility in the Mooresville/Lake Norman area.

A big thank you to one of our faithful church partners, Williamson's Chapel UMC, for this generous grant to support our crisis assistance program. In fiscal year 2024, TCM prevented 810 individuals from homelessness (nearly doubling from 2023) and 820 individuals from utility shut-offs. This program is made possible by the support of our incredible partners like WCUMC. TCM staff got to give Pastor Wes and Pastor Kevin a sneak peek tour of our new building, which we are looking forward to moving into very soon! Thank you, WCUMC, for being a beautiful example of Christ's love and for partnering with us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
