The first thing you see when you walk through the doors of The Children's Place are the words "This is a Place for You." We want all to feel welcome in this Place, no matter the reason they are here. We love when families share with us that these words feel true to them. One caregiver recently told us, "Yesterday when my son and I left therapy, he went and hugged Rudy Bear on the way out and said, 'I love The Children's Place! People here are so nice to me!' The Children's Place is really a place for everyone, and even at four years old, he feels it too."

The work we do is only possible because of so many generous donors. We're launching a new series to spotlight just some of these amazing people, starting with Mary Crowe Simpson, a former member of our Young Ambassador Board, who donates monthly as a Healing Hero along with her husband Hank. Meet Mary and learn why she has supported The Children's Place since she was a teenager:?https://bit.ly/4kTO2Wh

Earlier this month our friends at Commerce Bank hosted a fun St. Patrick's Day craft for the children in our Day Treatment program, where they got to stick sparkly shamrock and silly leprechaun stickers onto a wreath. Celebrating the seasons and holidays big and small is just one way that we work to restore childhood. Many of the children we serve have experienced more in their young lives than most do in a lifetime, but thanks to our friends at Commerce and so many others who support The Children's Place, these opportunities make it possible for the kids we serve to get to experience the magic and whimsy of a day like today. ??????

Our food pantry shelves are getting bare! Could you add a few items to your grocery list to help stock our shelves? Every Friday we send home a backpack full of food with the children in our Day Treatment program to ensure they have enough food to eat all weekend long. This food pantry is sustained nearly entirely by donations from people like you. We are currently in need of: ?? Canned tuna or chicken ?? Canned vegetables ?? Individually-packaged cereal or other breakfast item (Pop-tarts, packaged muffins or pastries, etc.) ?? Granola bars (all items must be nut-free) ?? Individually-packaged snacks (Goldfish, Cheez-Its, chips, cookies, etc.) ?? Soup or ramen Donations can be dropped off during business hours, or you can shop easily from our Amazon wishlist and it will be delivered directly to us: https://a.co/byMV9J8

Look at all this delicious bread! Thank you to our friends at Farm To Market Bread for donating bread monthly to send home with the children we serve. Every Friday we send home a backpack full of food with the children in our Day Treatment program to ensure that they have plenty to eat all weekend long. Thanks to Farm to Market, this backpack also includes fresh-baked bread monthly. This program is possible because of our friends at Distribution By Air Kansas City & Greenville-Spartanburg, who connected us with Farm to Market years ago and who hand-deliver the bread to our building each month. We are so grateful!
